Who is me?
Unfortunately, I have managed to develop a passion of birding. It’s infiltrated both my personal and professional life despite my best efforts. Side effects include a tendancy to always carry a waterproof notebook and irritate friends and family by pointing out when the bird sounds in movies don’t match the vegetation community.
I’m a wildlife biologist, long distance runner, and failed Peace Corps volunteer. My work has taken me through the Rocky Mountain west and Central America working with everything from bighorn sheep to garter snakes. It also includes a considerable amount of time freezing my butt off in Scotland. We don’t talk about Scotland.
When I’m not out birding or playing outside, you can usually find me making my own outdoor equipment or telling tall tales of past (mis)adventures.
